Our Board of Trustees is mainly comprised of our hosts who have actively hosted Syrian refugees. This means that they are not only passionate advocates but they are also really well placed to make informed decisions about how the charity should best be run.

Fiona currently works at London Metroplitan University where she is Careers and Employability Service Manager.
William Houston - Analyst for Norwegian Bank & Host (Treasurer)
Will lives in London with his wife Lucy. In response to the Syrian refugee crisis they registered with Homes For Syrians and welcomed their first guest, a young lady, in early 2016. He is the treasurer of the committee owing to his background in the financial sector. After studying economics at Nottingham University, he joined the Swiss bank, UBS, as an equity analyst, before moving to a British firm, Redburn Partners. He now works at a Norwegian investment fund as a portfolio manager. He tries his best to stay fit and will be completing a ‘Tough Mudder’ in aid of Homes For Syrians!
David Riley - Solicitor for King and Wood Mallesons & Host (Legal Advisor)
David, as well as being one of our trustees, is also one of our hosts. Originally from Derby, he now lives in South London with his wife Julia. David has a legal background in European Union competition law and is a published author in the area. He is an associate in a city law firm, where he has been since 2011. Before beginning his career, David studied at Bristol and Cambridge University and played rugby for Santander in Spain. David still plays for Barnes Rugby Football club in Southwest London. The impetus for David’s involvement in Homes for Syrians is the belief that the project affords ordinary individuals the opportunity to lessen the human impact of the war in Syria, simply by opening their door.
